These Finsch’s Parakeets, or Crimson-faced Parakeets, as they are known locally, flew overhead at Finca Hartmann, in the western highlands of Panama.

Finsch’s Parakeets have red forehead and red markings around the “elbow” region, differentiating them from Red-lored Amazons. Otherwise mostly green, with underside of flight feathers olive-green.
