The Purple Roller (also called Rufous-crowned Roller) lives in sub-Saharan Africa, including the Gambia, where the picture above was taken.
The Purple Roller has a streaked chest and face, whitish supercilium, mostly purple with blue shoulders sometimes visible.

Bird name: Lesser Flamingo

The Lesser Flamingo looks similar to the Greater Flamingo, but is smaller with more black on the bill and a red patch at the tip. Large numbers congregate in Lake Nakuru.
