These Pale-vented Pigeons were seen on telephone wires most times we visited the Ammo Ponds in the Canal Zone of central Panama.

The Panamanian subspecies is Patagioenas cayennensis palidicrissa. It has a whitish vent and underside of tail, greyish-blue band below eye around neck neck, otherwise pinkish-rufous.
