These Cherrie’s Tanagers were seen in Chiriqui, western Panama. The male is black with a bright red rump and female is yellowish underneath with orange chest and rump and olive brown wings and tail.

They were often referred to as Scarlet-rumped Tanagers (the old name) which also includes Passerini’s Tanager.
